Q: At what height should my grass be cut?                                

A: St. Augustine Grass - 4 1/2"to 5 1/2", Bahia Grass - 3" to 4".

 

 

Q: When should I water?

A: The best watering time is starting between 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.

 

 

Q: How much water should I use?

A: At least 1" of water per week. Small pop-ups: 50 minutes per zone and large pulsating heads: 120 minutes per zone. (This can be measured by simply putting a tuna fish can outside when the sprinklers come on and measure it when they turn off)

 

 

Q: We just had so much rain but my lawn is already developing brown spots, why is this?

A: Sand is nothing but crushed rock so it does not retain any moisture. You must continue watering at your proper times.

Q: My lawn is wilting and turning grayish - What do I do?

A: If you see your foot print when walking on the grass, apply water.

 

 

Q: Why is my lawn getting brown spots?

A: Your lawn is not getting enough water.

 

 

Q: I have weeds in my grass - What do I do?

A: Weeds are mainly controlled when temperatures are 85 degrees and below. If it's hotter than 85 degrees then call the office and we can come out and spot treat for free.
